The Unimog (Universal-Motor-Gerät) is an all-purpose off-road vehicle built by Mercedes-Benz. Designed in 1946, it has since been one of the most versatile and rugged vehicles on the market, used both by armies and for demanding civilian work.
Main military versions:
- Unimog U1300L: the most widely-used version in European armies (Germany, France, Belgium). 6 cylinders, 130 hp, 4x4, 4-tonne payload.
- Unimog U1700L: reinforced version, 170 hp engine
- Unimog U1750 and U2150: heavy-duty versions
